The idea for this blog came from a thread that was posted on Topix a while back. I hope that people will share memories of growing up in Huntington back in the old days, before Walmart, cell phones, and fast food took over the world. This is my first attempt at blogging, so bear with me.

West End
Since I grew up in the West End of town we went to the Olympic Pool and Dream Land.
I found some pictures of Dream Land I hope will bring back memories.
Oh how I miss the old Dreamland... Why on earth they changed it is a mystery. I know the pavillion burned but couldn't it have been rebuilt? Thanks for the pictures. These are the only ones I've seen that shows how it used to be. sigh......
Yes, those pics bring back vivid memories. Dreamland was a dream land to me as a child. It was a special treat to go there. Thanks, Terry.
